Supply Chain Manager
Our client, US based MNC, is a global leader in Engineering Services. Due to expansion and growth a new opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Professional with experience in a MNC environment together with Project Procurement experience to join their team.
Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager plans, directs and manages supply chain functions for all business units within. The position also manages all suppliers, systems policies and procedures and also controls products’ import and export, cost and pricing of transportation, warehouse and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- In co-ordination with Group Global Procurement and Asia Supply Chain principles, guidelines and priorities, provides overall supply chain planning, management and coordination of the procurement activities for all Singapore’s business units.
- Develops and implements strategies to effectively manage the different aspects of the supply chain which includes sourcing, procurement, purchasing, transport, warehousing and distribution whilst assuring supply, quality, services, and cost effectiveness for direct, indirect materials, field overheads and sub-contract services.
- Leads purchasing team to develop and implement alternate ways to source in order to achieve improved cost, delivery, and cash flow, including effective use of e-sourcing or auction.
- Leads creation and effective execution of annual savings plan to reduce purchasing costs year-over-year, and reports progress monthly per corporate reporting requirements.
- Ensures all processes of suppliers’ contacts and proposals are compliance with Company’s code of business ethics and EH and S standard.
- Ensures all purchases are based on reasonable cost and on integrity of suppliers’ competition and selection.
- Works closely with the existing services provider, in order to manage, plan and optimize logistics, product transportation, cost and pricing of transportation, warehouse and inventory management.
- Ensures that the Finance and Accounting Department – sales report, stock report, invoicing, quotation, purchase order, account payable and account receivable – are made aware of all adjustments to agreed contracts between clients and the organization.
- Assures timely distribution of materials or requested products to support each business units within.
- Embrace ACE methodology to constantly review and enhance operations processes to meet supply chain standards and to drive business process improvements.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistic Management or related is preferred
- Minimum 8 years of supply chain management experience in an MNC environment or Engineering Services industry
- Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with ERP software
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Self motivated, results oriented and high adaptability
- Problem solver with good influencing skills
- Resourceful and creative
- Singaporean and PR only
